Recall Alert! These Baby Wipes May Contain Bacteria

Attention, mamas! Nutek Disposables, Inc., has launched a nationwide voluntary product recall for some of its baby wipes after discovering they were contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia (B. cepacia).

The wipes were manufactured under the brand names Cuties,, Femtex, Fred’s, Kidgets, Member’s Mark, Simply Right, Sunny Smiles, Tender Touch, and Well Beginnings, according to an ABC affiliate report.

B. cepacia isn’t especially dangerous if you’re healthy; however, people with certain health problems like weakened immune systems or chronic lung diseases, particularly cystic fibrosis, may be more susceptible to infections from the bacteria.

If you have these wipes, you can return them to the store where you purchased them for a full refund. Call the company (855-646-4351) if you have questions.
