Easy Bunny Butt Donut Holes Recipe

  • With Easter around the corner, it is time to start those cute Easter crafts. My kids are fairly young, so we are not doing anything crazy complicated. These bunny butt donut holes are the perfect craft-slash-recipe for us to put together. Those cute little fluffy buns look like they are diving right down a hole to find a hidden treasure.

I made these with my kids and they are super easy to recreate. We started with store-bought powdered donut holes. Then, adding coconut, mini-marshmallows, and melted butter finishes them off. We also used an edible marker to draw their little feet. They were adorable when they were finished, but didn’t last long on the plate before we gobbled them up!

    Bunny Butt Donut Holes

Store-bought donut holes plus 3 additional ingredients equals a dessert that'll crack your kids up.

    Servings: 4

    • powdered donut holes: 4 (You can also use glazed donut holes if you'd like.)
    • sweetened shredded coconut: 1 cup
    • melted butter: 3 tablespoons
    • mini marshmallows: 12
    • pink marker for decorating edible goods (found online or at baking supply stores): 1

Step 1: Set out a tray covered with a paper towel. Place the donut holes on the paper towel and the coconut in a bowl.

Step 2: Melt the butter in a small bowl and allow it to cool slightly.

Step 3: Dip the donut holes in the butter one at a time. Then roll them in the coconut until they are well coated.

Step 4: Dip three marshmallows, one at a time, in the melted butter, and place one on top of each donut hole to make the tails.

Step 5: Smoosh the remaining marshmallows so they are flattened. Draw little feet pads on them with the marker. Dip the backs of them in the butter and stick them to the donut holes. Enjoy!
