Crock Pot French Toast Pudding Recipe

appropriate for babies: 8 months and older

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf day old French or Italian bread
  • 7 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar (optional or substitute with 1 tablespoon maple syrup)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation:

Step 1: Generously grease the crock pot with butter or a cooking spray.

Step 2: Rip bread up into 3 inch pieces and toss them in the crock pot.

Step 3 (optional): Sprinkle brown sugar over the bread.

Step 4: Whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla.

Step 5: Pour the egg mixture over the over bread.

Step 6: Set crock pot to low setting. For Crock Pot French Toast, cook for 6 hours. For Crock Pot French Toast Bread Pudding, cook for at least 8 hours.

Step 7: Wake to find glorious, bubbling, warm, sweet-smelling bread pudding for the whole family! Serve with maple syrup, if desired.
