DIY No-Sew Costume: Hula Skirt

Need a last minute costume for Halloween? Here’s an easy DIY Hula Skirt you can make from a brown paper bag (it doesn’t get much easier than that!). We just love no-sew costume options, so dress-up your child in this cute skirt on All Hallow’s Eve!

Supplies:

  • scissors
  • brown paper grocery bag
  • tape
  • brightly-colored robbon (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: With your scissors, cut both the sides of a paper grocery bag down the middle.

Step 2: Cut off the bottom of the grocery bag, so you can lay the bag out flat on your table.

Step 3: Fold the paper bag in half evenly.

Step 4: Starting from the bottom of the bag, cut small slits all the way up leaving about 2 inches at the top so that you are left with a fringe.

Step 5: When you’re done, tie it around your trick-or-treater, and secure with a piece of brown tape. Add a brightly colored ribbon around your trick-or-treaters waist for more flair!
