Want to impress your guests with a super delicious dessert sauce? They'll think you spent a lot of time making this one!
(Only you and I will know it took you five short minutes!)
This chocolate peanut butter sauce is great hot, warm or at room temperature, and can turn any bowl of vanilla ice cream into a very special, fancy dessert!
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup crunchy, salted peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup half and half
Makes 1 1/4 cups
Total Prep and Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Combine all of the ingredients in a medium sized saucepan over low heat. Once the chocolate is melted, after about 2 minutes, use a whisk to blend the sauce until it's smooth.
An additional note:
You can also swirl this sauce into a carton of vanilla ice cream to make Vanilla, Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl Ice Cream! (Let the ice cream soften at room temperature, then mix in the desired amount of sauce and refreeze.)
