Ingredients:
- ground turkey: 1 pound
- seasoned bread crumbs: ¼ cup
- garlic, minced: 1 clove
- red onion, diced: 2 tablespoons
- salt: ¼ teaspoon
- ground cumin: ½ teaspoon
- chili powder: ¼ teaspoon
- cilantro, finely chopped: 2 tablespoons
- mayonnaise: 2 tablespoons
- vegetable oil: for grill
- jalapeno jack or Monterey jack cheese: 4 slices
Directions:
Step 1: Preheat and outdoor grill or grill pan to medium-high.
Step 2: In a large bowl combine turkey, bread crumbs, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, cilantro and mayonnaise. Mix with your hands until just combined and form into 4 patties.
Step 3: Brush the grill with vegetable oil. Place patties onto the grill and cook, covered, until cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side; during last minute of cooking, top each burger with cheese and cover grill. Serve burgers on buns with desired toppings.
