DIY Color Block Vase

Mother’s Day is right around the corner! This is a super easy and fun way to turn a drab thrifted vase into something colorful and special for the big day. Match the color block vase with some fresh wildflowers or some of her favorite store-bought buds. She’ll love it!

Supplies:

  • Vase
  • Primer spray paint
  • Spray paint
  • Tape

Instructions:

Step 1: WIth your tape, decide what area of the vase you would like to add the paint to and tape off every little bit that you don’t want painted with tape. It takes a minute and a lot of tape, but it’s worth it!

Step 2: Starting with the primer, spray the vase. I always spray paint inside a cardboard box to prevent getting paint everywhere. Once the primer is dried, start in on the color! I did two coats, waiting 10 mintues between coats.

Step 3: Once the paint is completely dry, peel off your tape to reveal your pretty new vase! Perfect for gifting to that special mom in your life.
