Easy DIY Easter Egg Decorating Ideas for Adults

When it comes to DIY Easter egg decorating ideas, kids generally get to have all the fun. This year, though, your parents can give this traditional holiday pastime a try, with a more adult approach to decorating. Hint: It includes fresh flowers and decorative paper. No dyeing required! Bonus! It's super easy, so you can still get the kiddos involved if you'd like.

Here's how to make these floral Easter eggs:

Supplies:

  • Decorative paper
  • Scissors
  • Fresh flowers
  • Hard boiled eggs
  • Craft glue

Instructions:

Step 1: Start by cutting out a long strip from a decorative piece of paper, about 1/2–3/4 inches wide.

Step 2: Wrap the strip around the widest part of a hard boiled egg and glue strip ends together, creating a band around the middle of the egg, without glueing it to the egg itself.

Step 3: Next, cut fresh flowers in various sizes and attach to the paper band with craft glue. Let dry.

Use as part of a decorative centerpiece at Easter dinner, or display elsewhere before the holiday. When you're ready to eat the eggs, simple remove the paper band.
