DIY: Framed Letter Wall Art

Personalizing a nursery is a really fun part of decorating and getting ready for baby. Art can be expensive but there are a lot of fun and easy projects to make with materials you already have around the house. This personalized letter wall art can be made  from any pretty paper or maps you might have.

Supplies:

Matted Frame (mine was under $10 from Ikea)

Pretty paper or map

White cardstock

Straight Edge

Pen

Exacto Knife

Tape  (not pictured)

Remove the mat board from the frame and print out a large letter you want to cut. Trace the letter onto the white cardstock, and around the edge of the mat board

With your exacto knife and straight edge, Carefully cut out the letter, leaving the negative space in tact (like a stencil)

It should look like this now!

Now you’ll cut a large piece of the nice paper you have. You’ll want to make it the same size as the inside of the mat board

Now place the mat board into the frame and carefully tape the white letter into place

Now tape the pretty paper on top of the letter, face down and seal up the frame as necessary

You’ve got a pretty piece of personalized art for the nursery!
