The Fab Five From ‘Queer Eye’ Get Their Very Own Lego Set!

LEGO

In a move that epitomizes style, taste and class, Lego has introduced a ‘Queer Eye’ set with the Fab Five. It showcases the original loft from the first two seasons, with plenty of fantastic details.

The 974-piece set also includes figures of cast members Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antoni Porowski – plus Bruley the French Bulldog and Van Ness’s former music teacher, Kathi Dooley, who appeared on the show’s fourth season. Also featured is a kitchen island for Antoni Porowski, a clothing rack filled with fierce ensembles for Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness’s swivel salon chair, and Karamo Brown’s couch (and scrapbook!).

Even more fabulous? Tan’s silver hair was apparently such a challenge in creating authentic looking minifigures that it required the creation of a new custom Lego wig.

Matthew Ashton, Lego’s vice president of design, said he hoped the ‘Queer Eye’ set would remind fans to “celebrate kindness and help build each other up” during both a pandemic and a politically divisive climate.

“In this set we’ve captured themes central to both the Lego Group and the show ― caring, creativity, learning and fun,” he noted in a Tuesday statement. “While the Fab Five rebuild people’s lives, we are on a mission to inspire people to get creative and help rebuild a more positive world.”

The “Queer Eye” set is priced at $99.99 and will be available in October. The show’s sixth season will take place in Austin, Texas, and is due out later this year, though no release date has been set.
