We all love party hats at celebrations but do they have to always be boring paper ones? Why not up the wow factory with a handmade DIY felt party hat? Your birthday boy or girl will feel even more special on their special day!
Supplies:
- paper party hat
- craft felt in two colors
- glue gun
- scissors
- pen
- decorative cupcake liners and pom poms (not shown)
Open up the party hat carefully and trace it onto a piece of felt with an additional inch around
Cut out a few circles and a long strip the length of the bottom (or whatever designs you’d like)
Cut off the trim from a few cupcake liners
Pin the trim under the hat and sew or glue the trim to the hat and the large stripe to the bottom of the hat
