The Hottest Nail Colors for Fall 2015

I love playing up my nails for fall as there are so many pretty colors to choose from. With a wide array of colors, textures, and toxin-free options on the market today, here’s a fun mix of what’s hot for fashion’s coolest season. These favorites in rich ranges of blues, grays, golds, and nudes have made my personal nail edit. The best part is that no matter your skin tone, every shade will warm you up as the weather cools down.

Bonus: These gorgeous nail colors for fall 2015 are all DBP, toluene, and formaldehyde free—great for copious bear hugs with your kiddos!

Shades of Gray

I’m a fan of gray—in all its shade varieties. I love Essie’s Chinchilly, $8.50, because it’s a granite gray that shines beautifully in all types of lighting.

I love Essie’s Cashmere Wardrobe, $8.50, because it pretty much goes with everything and looks different depending on lighting and your wardrobe selection. Here I’m wearing it in daylight, and the color reads as a dark charcoal gray. Depending on the scene, it could look like a flannel gray or taupe-y brown, and the color payoff is wonderfully rich.

Haute Chocolate

Zoya’s Kalista, $9, is a dark espresso with rich purple undertones, allowing for different tones to radiate on your toes while you walk. Here it is in action while I took a morning stroll with my baby.

Golden Girl

I love doing a fairy dust nail or a “non-nail.” Basically, the trend is a sprinkling of color (where often just one coat is needed) and your nail bed shows through. This application technique is great because your coat dries in a flash…and your nails attract loads of interest. To achieve this easy, chic look try Essie Polish in luxeffects in No. 962, $8.50, as I did here. Another bonus: The color wears off beautifully—looking intentional, not chippy.

I love everything about Zoya’s Jules, $9, including the name, as it reminds me of my first born’s moniker. This light taupe-y gold has just the right amount of sheen and sparkle.

Sea of Blue

Zoya’s Breezi, $9, is a creamy blue color that’s super rich and 5-free (formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate, toluene, camphor, and formaldehyde resin free). It’s fantastic for creating a denim nail moment like I did here.

Zoya’s Cynthia, $9, is a smoky peacock that’s super fresh for fall. It pairs fantastically with a refreshing cocktail.

All Purpose Nude

If going nude is more your thing, then why not try a neutral with some edge like Zoya’s Blossom, $9? Not everything has to be deep and dark to ring in fall—this color works beautifully with all of your creamy sweaters. Layer on the color as you would your wardrobe—you can create multiple shades by switching from one to three coats.
