Apple Pie French Toast Casserole Couldn’t Be Any Easier to Make

Apple Pie French Toast Casserole

I’m a hot and hearty breakfast person. And there is nothing my family loves more in the cold months than an overnight French toast casserole. Our new favorite breakfast as of late is an apple pie French toast casserole.  It is incredibly simple and it tastes like Fall on a plate. It’s ideal for weekend mornings, too. I love that you can prep it the night before, sleep in, and then cook it whenever you’re ready to eat. It’s the perfect breakfast or brunch to make for guests, and we just can’t get enough of it.

The key to this french toast casserole is letting it soak overnight. That way the bread is able to absorb all the custard. As it bakes the custardy bread lifts the apples and absorbs all of the warm spices. There is also a little crisp on top because that’s what I like to put on my apple pies, so why not add it to the custard as well?

It couldn’t be easier to make this baked apple pie French toast casserole. Here’s how:
