Keri Russell Gives Birth, Welcomes First Child With Matthew Rhys

Congratulations to Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys!

“The Americans” co-stars welcomed their first child together last week, according to US Weekly. The couple has still not revealed much — including the baby’s name or gender — but according to the Daily Mail they’ve been spotted strolling around New York City with their new baby.

Just like their undercover characters, Rhys and Russell have remained quiet about the pregnancy and birth, as well as their relationship in general. They were rumored to be an item in 2013 (coinciding with Russell’s divorce from Shane Deary, with whom she has two children, son River, 8, and daughter Willa, 4), though they didn’t go public until April 2014.

There are no pictures of “The American” baby yet, but sources told US Weekly that the couple couldn’t be more thrilled. “Keri and Matt both look overjoyed and are over the moon to be new parents,” the source said. “They are always snapping pictures of the baby, and family and friends have been sending gifts.” This is the first child for Rhys, 41, and the third for the “Felicity” alum, 40.

In addition to their awesome baby news, fans will be happy to hear that their show was just renewed for two final seasons. Congratulations all around!
