Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor has passed away at the age of 79.
Elizabeth had checked into Cedars-Sinai back in February for congestive heart failure and passed away this morning around 1:30 a.m. Her publicist shared: “She was surrounded by her children – Michael Wilding, Christopher Wilding, Liza Todd and Maria Burton.”
Elizabeth was born in Hampstead, England and moved to the U.S. with her family right before WWII. She first hit the silver screen in 1942 at the age of 10 in “There’s One Born Every Minute”, but her most famous role “Cleopatra” came almost two decades later, followed by dozens of films and television series. Elizabeth was the first Hollywood actor to earn a $1 million paycheck.
She was married eight times, but was unmarried at the time of her death. In addition to her children, she is survived by ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
