Ranch & Bacon Monkey Bread Recipe

    I love to entertain, and easy entertaining is my specialty. Being a busy mom of two, I have developed quite a few go-to recipes over the years to ensure that I can entertain with ease. One of my favorite things to make for a party is monkey bread. Whether it’s sweet or savory, monkey bread always puts a smile on people’s faces, and it’s perfect for entertaining because it can be thrown together in minutes. I’m always playing around with different flavor combinations; most recently I used Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix along with some bacon to make what I consider my most delicious combo yet: Savory Bacon Ranch Monkey Bread.

    Savory Bacon and Ranch Monkey Bread

    Bacon + ranch is always a no-fail combo. Add it to this monkey bread and you've got the ultimate easy appetizer.

    Ingredients:

    • Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix: 10 ounces (one 1-ounce packet)
    • bacon: 8 slices, cut into small pieces 
    • unsalted butter: 1 stick, melted and cooled
    • refrigerated large/jumbo size biscuit dough: 2 cans

    Directions:

    Step 1: Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9-inch springform pan, wrap the outside of the pan in foil, and set it into a rimmed baking sheet. (The foil and the baking sheet will prevent a messy oven.)

    Step 2: Cook bacon in a medium skillet over medium heat until crisp. Drain and set aside to cool.

    Step 3: Separate each biscuit and cut into quarters. Place biscuit dough into a large bowl.

    Step 4: Sprinkle packet of Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix over the biscuits and toss to coat.

    Step 5Arrange the biscuit pieces in the prepared springform pan in two layers, sprinkling the cooked bacon over each layer. Place springform pan onto a rimmed baking sheet. (This will help catch and drips and also make it easier to remove pan from oven.)

    Step 6: Pour melted butter over the dough and place into the oven.

    Step 7: Bake for 25-28 minutes. Cool in pan for about 5 minutes before unfolding and serving.
