Kourtney Kardashian was born to Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian, an attorney who was catapulted to fame during the O.J. Simpson trial. Kourtney was the first child for her parents, who went on to share 3 more children, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Robert Kardashian, Jr., before their divorce when Kourtney was just 10. Kourtney and her siblings then found themselves spending time between both homes, with her mom eventually marrying Olympic star Bruce Jenner.
Kourtney attended an all-girls private Catholic high school in Los Angeles and after graduation she attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas and then the University of Arizona in Tucson. She graduated from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater Arts (minor in Spanish) in 2002. Right out of college Kourtney partnered with her mom to open boutiques called “Smooch” in L.A. and NYC.
In September of 2003 Kourtney lost her father to esophageal cancer.
She first caught the reality show bug in 2005 with “Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive”, which raised money for charity. Just two years later her family hit the reality jackpot with their show “Keeping up with the Kardashians” and soon the entire family became household names. Kourtney and sisters Kim and Khloe opened up several boutiques together called DASH, with locations in Miami, NYC, and L.A.
Kourtney stars in two other reality shows, spin-offs from her family show, “Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami” and “Kourtney & Kim Take New York”. She also works hard on many other projects that include books, product endorsements, clothing lines, and jewelry lines.
Kourtney and boyfriend Scott Disick welcomed Mason Dash Disick together on December 14, 2009. She gushed about motherhood: “I love being a mom. I never thought I would love it this much. It’s better than I ever imagined.”
