Kendra Wilkinson is a true California girl, born and raised in San Diego by her parents Patti, a former cheerleader, and Eric, a biochemist. Kendra spent her early years playing softball and began modeling right after high school.
At 19, she was working as a dental assistant when she first met Hugh Hefner at his birthday celebration. Shortly after that he moved her into the Playboy mansion where she would begin filming the “The Girls Next Door” with Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt, the reality series that made her famous.
In 2008 Kendra fell for football player Hank Baskett and by November the two were engaged. As the show came to an end in early 2009, Kendra moved out of the mansion. She and Hank were married on June 27, 2009. They documented the wedding in her spin-off reality show “Kendra”.
Just a few weeks before their wedding, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together. Hank joked: “I’ve seen more baby television shows since she got pregnant than I have in my entire life. She’s studying up on everything. She’s constantly testing me and asking me questions.”
Kendra gave birth to Hank Baskett Jr. on December 11, 2009. She gushed about her new bundle of joy: “I feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now!”
In 2010 she released a fitness DVD and also wrote a best-selling book based on her life, “Sliding into Home”.
