Our Valentine’s Day date this year will probably include a homemade dinner and snuggling on the couch. Just because we are spending the holiday at home doesn’t mean we can’t get fancy.
This year, I’ll be starting dinner with a holiday variation on one of my favorite cocktails. The sidecar is a delicious drink from the days of Prohibition consisting of cognac, Cointreau, and fresh squeezed lemon juice. Since this time of year also happens to be the best time for citrus, I decided to switch out the lemon for a blood orange for an even tastier pre-dinner drink.
