I’ll admit, I am a sucker for Chick-Fil-A. I don’t eat a lot of fast food, but that is one store I will brake for every time. What I love about the strips is their unique blend of spices. They are crispy and crunchy without being dry, and they taste great dipped in ketchup, ranch, or barbecue sauce. Since I don’t live that close to a Chick-Fil-A, I’ve come to recreating these tasty nuggets at home. I haven’t perfected the Chick-Fil-A chicken strips recipe, but these are dangerously close!

Servings: 3-4
Ingredients:
- boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into strips: 1 pound
- buttermilk: ½ cup
- egg: 1
- all-purpose flour: ¾ cup
- confectioner's sugar: 1 tablespoon
- paprika: 1 pinch
- kosher salt: ½ teaspoon
- ground pepper: ½ teaspoon
- vegetable oil: for frying
Directions:
Step 1: Add the chicken to a large bowl, and pour in the buttermilk and egg. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for six hours, or up to overnight.
Step 2: Add the flour, sugar, paprika, salt, and pepper to a large Ziploc bag. Add the chicken and toss it well until evenly coated.
Step 3: Pour enough vegetable oil into a heavy bottomed pan to come 2 inches up the side. Heat it up until bubbles sizzle up when flour is added. Fry the nuggets for 3 to 4 minutes, turning at the halfway point. Remove to a plate lined with a paper towel. Serve hot.
