Monkey bread is a fun fall favorite at our house, especially when you add some extra autumn flavor with pumpkin pie spice. You can make your pumpkin spice monkey bread from scratch, or use biscuits as a shortcut for your bread dough and make them super easy to make. These fun mini-size monkey breads in a jar are perfect to serve up to kids for a fall harvest party, or pop the jar lids on once the monkey breads have baked and cooled to save for later or to have as a quick snack on the go.
Pumpkin Spice Monkey Bread in a Jar
The perfect fall dessert to enjoy with your family or to bring to holiday parties as a hostess gift!
Ingredients:
- Pillsbury Grand’s Biscuits: 2 tubes
- cinnamon: 2 teaspoons
- pumpkin pie spice: 2 teaspoons
- sugar: ½ cup
- butter: 1 stick
- brown sugar: ½ cup
- pumpkin puree: 2 tablespoons
- no stick cooking spray: to coat jars
Directions:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Open the biscuits and cut or tear each biscuit into four bite-size pieces.
Step 3: Combine the ½ cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon of the pumpkin pie spice in a small bowl.
Step 4: Roll each piece of biscuit into a ball, then roll it in the sugar/cinnamon/pumpkin-spice mixture until coated.
Step 5: Spray 12 to 16 four-ounce canning jars with no stick cooking spray.
Step 6: Add 4 to 5 sugar-rolled biscuit pieces to each jar.
Step 7: Melt the butter and add in the pumpkin puree, the other teaspoon of cinnamon, and the other teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice. Stir until well combined. Pour about 1 teaspoon of the mixture over each jar.
Step 8: Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 12 to 15 minutes.
Step 9: Serve up warm or let cool.
