Celebrate the flavors of the fall in an easy peasy custard recipe. With just 4 simple ingredients, you can whip up a healthy and tasty meal (or call it dessert!) for your baby and the entire family. Sweet potatoes, apples, milk and eggs combine to create a dish that is truly full of Fall flavor. When you add in a pinch or two of pumpkin pie or apple pie spice, this humble custard really bursts forth with warm deliciousness. This custard recipe is suitable for babies 8 months of age and older due to the use of milk and eggs. Please be sure to ask your pediatrician about offering your baby eggs and milk (in a baked good, not as a drink) as recommendations for introducing allergenic foods have been changing. It is now thought that holding off on introducing allergenic foods (eggs, dairy, wheat, peanuts etc..) is not necessary; waiting to introduce these foods has not been proven to stop a food allergy from developing.
