Apple Hand Stitched Decorative Pillow
- 1 apple pattern printed
- ¼ yard red or red-print cotton fabric
- 1 piece of green felt
- red embroidery thread
- green embroidery thread
- embroidery needle
- 1 large handful of stuffing
Step 1: Print out the apple pattern.
Step 2: Cut out the apple, stem, and leaf patterns.
Step 3: Fold the fabric in half, then fold it in half again, so you have two folds together. Place the apple pattern so it is along the side with the two folds and cut out two apples.
Step 4: Unfold the apple and place the two wrong sides together so they match up. Pin the two pieces together.
Step 5: Stitch the two pieces together using an embroidery needle and red embroidery thread, and leave a three-inch hole for stuffing.
Step 6: Stuff the apple until it is full but not over-stuffed.
Step 7: Finish stitching the apple together.
Step 8: Cut the stem and leaf using the pattern from a piece of green felt.
Step 9: Use a small piece of green embroidery thread to stitch the stem and leaf to the top center of the apple.
