Keep Kids Busy With an Indoor Pom Pom Snowball Fight!

It’s cold, and let’s face it, you would rather be inside where it’s warm than outside watching your kids catch a cold. Besides, the snow is pretty and fluffy for about five minutes after it falls and then it just becomes dirty and crunchy. Right? Instead of keeping them indoors while they go stir crazy, try making them an indoor snowball fight with pom poms! White pom poms are the perfect snowball replacement, and best of all, you won’t freeze your butt off outdoors! Find a spot in the house with the fewest breakable objects and let the kids go crazy throwing soft pom poms around. You can join in the fun or simply watch from another other room without getting pelted!

This project is simple – just make a whole bunch of large white pom poms!

Step 1: If using a pom pom maker, wrap the yarn around one leg so that it is very thick. Repeat with the other leg and close them.

Step 2: Cut through each leg to fringe the pom pom. Do not open the legs.

Step 3: Cut another piece of yarn and wrap it around the middle tightly. Tie into a tight knot.

Step 4: Open the legs and pull apart both sides of the pom pom maker and trim the strings to even them out. Then repeat so that each person in your snowball fight has several pom poms!
