Ruth Devine is a journalist, editor and author who lives on Sydney's Northern Beaches with three boys (four if you count her husband - and she does) plus a kelpie called Monty. Ruth's new adventure series for children, The Jack McCool Chronicles, hits the shelves in January 2017 - a story which she says she came up with while standing on the sidelines of very many soccer matches while pretending to know the score and trying (and failing) to whoop at the right moments.
