3 Homemade Beef Barbecue Rub Recipes (All-Natural!)

Hooray, it's grilling season! I don't have to wash as many dishes, and I get to cook outside instead of being cooped up in my kitchen! Our weeknights are hectic, so I'm always on the lookout for easy recipes that don't take much preparation. I love rub recipes, especially beef barbecue rub recipes, because they’re a quick and easy way to add flavor without extra fuss. You can make extra of these rubs and store them in an airtight container then pull them out for last minute dinners on the grill.

My favorite Southwest rub combines chili powder, paprika, and cumin to give your meal a little extra kick.

Step 3: Drizzle a pound of steak or chicken with the olive oil.

Step 4: Rub in the spice mixture of your choice and let the meat sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavor. You can do this earlier in the day, and store it in the fridge until you're ready to grill!
