There's still time to squeeze out more summer this season! In the summertime tomatoes are at their juicy peak, and there's nothing better than a freshly made BLT. The sweet tomato, crisp lettuce and salty bacon are heaven together. When you combine that fabulous BLT with a juicy just-off-the-grill slider (that's a burger in miniature), you have small bite perfection. This recipe for BLT Sliders makes for a fabulous and unforgettable bite.
yields: 6 slides
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground sirloin
- salt and pepper
- 6 slider rolls
- 6 romaine leaves
- 6 fresh tomato slices, cut to ¼ inch thickness
- 12 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked
Preparation:
Step 1: Preheat your grill over its medium setting or prepare charcoals for grilling.
Step 2: Season the ground sirloin with salt and pepper. Divide into six equal portions and form into 4 inch (in diameter) patties.
Step 3: Grill to desired doneness, flipping once (about 6 – 8 minutes total).
Step 4: Top the slider rolls each with a slice of romaine, a tomato slice, a burger and two slices of crispy bacon. Finish with the roll top. Enjoy!
