Ingredients:
ground beef: 1 pound
beef tips: ½ pound
crushed tomatoes: 28 oz. can
kidney beans: 1 can
potatoes: 1 cup, diced into ¼-inch pieces
chili powder: 2 tablespoons
cumin: 2 teaspoons
smoked paprika: 1 tablespoon
kosher salt: 2 teaspoons or to taste
pepper: ½ teaspoon or to taste
Directions:
Step 1: Heat a pot over medium heat on the stove.
Step 2: Add the ground beef and cook, stirring occasioanlly to break up chunks, until browned all over.
Step 3: Add the beef tips and cook for 1-2 minutes until just seared. Drain excess grease from the pan.
Step 4: Stir in the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, and potatoes.
Step 5: Season the chili with chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Step 6: Cover, reduce the temperature to low, and simmer for 30 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
