How to Make Berry Perfect Popsicles

homemade berry popsicles

Can you believe summer is almost here? I know at our house summer means frozen treats, and one of our favorites is homemade popsicles, so I’ve been working on perfecting the perfect homemade popsicle through the years! The recipe I’ve come up with is rich, creamy and loaded with yummy fruit flavor. This is a super fun treat to enjoy with your children during warm summer days in the back yard! Kids will also have a blast helping you create these fun ice pops made with fresh juice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fruit juice (apple is delicious)
  • ½ cup strawberries
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • 1 six-ounce container berry Greek yogurt

Step 1: Add the juice, strawberries, and blueberries to a blender or food processor.

Step 2: Pulse the blender until all the ingredients are blended smoothly. There may be some small chunks from the fresh fruit, but there shouldn’t be any large chunks.

Step 3: Add the Greek yogurt to the blender and pulse again until the ingredients are completely blended.

Step 4: Pour the popsicle mixture into individual popsicle molds or small disposable cups. This mixture will fill about 6 to 8 medium size molds.

Step 5:  Insert the popsicle sticks that came with the mold. If you don’t have popsicle molds, you can also use small paper cups and lollipop or wooden sticks by placing plastic over the cups and poking the sticks through the plastic and through the center of the pops.

Step 6: Place the ice pops in the freezer. Make sure they’re level so you don’t have any leaks or spills. Freeze for a couple hours, or until solid.

Step 7: To remove the pops, run the molds under warm running water for a few seconds at a time and gently lift the sticks to release the pops. If they won’t release, run them under the warm water a few more seconds.
