This chocolate chip buttercream frosting recipe goes perfectly with our Milk Chocolate Cake recipe!

Servings: Makes enough frosting for two 9-inch cakes or 24 cupcakes
Ingredients:
- unsalted butter: 3 sticks, at room temperature
- confectioners sugar: 1 pound
- vanilla extract: 1 tablespoon
- mini chocolate chips: 2/3 cup
Directions:
Step 1: In the bowl of a standing mixer beat butter on high until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes.
Step 2: Scrape down the sides of the bowl and set mixer on low speed.
Step 3: Gradually add in powdered sugar and beat until well incorporated.
Step 4: Stop the machine and fold in chocolate chips by hand.
