Sculptural Outdoor Fireplaces

This past weekend a friend invited me to attend the Dwell 2012 Design Conference at the Los Angeles Convention Center and what a fantastic opportunity that invitation turned out to be!  For anyone interested in Home Design or Architecture, I would highly recommend attending this annual event if you have the opportunity. All of the products and displays were top notch and a virtual feast for the eyes, especially if you are a person who craves great design, like I do.

In my next few articles, I plan to share some of the cool new finds that I discovered at Dwell 2012.

This stunning outdoor fireplace immediately caught my eye, and since Summer is now upon us, it’s the perfect time to consider adding one of these to your outdoor space. Can’t you just imagine friends and family lingering longer around a warm, inviting outdoor centerpiece like this one?

This product was co-developed by Brandon Williams, who is a Principal Designer and co-founder of Modfire which is located in Phoenix, Arizona. The story goes that Brandon moved from Chicago and established the Modfire Studio in Arizona. It was apparently the change of scenery in Arizona, along with the mid-century modern influences often seen in many desert homes in Arizona, that inspired the clean and bold design of this Modfire outdoor fireplace.
