Cool-it Soother Teething Ring Recalled

On January 12th, 2011, this Cool-it Soother teething ring was voluntarily recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in cooperation with the manufacturer due to a potential safety defect.

What does this mean for you?

If the teething ring is punctured, there is the potential for bacteria and mold to grow inside the teether’s untreated liquid. If the teether is punctured, this poses an ingestion hazard to infants and can lead to diarrhea and vomiting. To date, no injuries have been reported.

What should you do if you own or have purchased this product?

Consumers should immediately take the recalled ring away from children and return it to the importer, Calisson, for a free replacement.
