Native makes excellent natural deodorants that are aluminum-free and designed to stand up to tough sweat and odor. My friends (and site reviewers) love the Coconut & Vanilla scent, which has a warm, beachy feel to it.

I love supporting mom-and-pop businesses, like this Oregon-based small shop. Their natural, handmade deodorant is produced in small batches and contains a blend of coconut oil, shea butter, and vitamin E to soothe the skin and combat odor. It gets a sweat-absorbing boost from natural arrowroot powder and comes in a gorgeous glass jar.

By far one of the most popular choices among my natural mama friends, Schmidt's is easy to find (they stock it at Target!) and it works great. Gliding on with no sticky residue, it's the most like a standard deodorant of those I've tried. And while they offer a ton of awesome fragrances seasonally, the hands-down favorite is Bergamot and Lime. All of them are scented with natural essential oils.
Available at: Schmidt's Naturals, $8.99

An Australian favorite, this natural wonder now ships to the United States. No Pong natural deodorant is available in both traditional and low-fragrance formulas, so it's ideal for those who want to go natural or REALLY natural, and it uses beeswax and coconut oil as main combatants against odor.
Available at: Visit No Pong for pricing and where to buy.
One of the most popular brands of natural beauty products, these guys have been around since 1970 and are still going strong. This animal cruelty-free brand delivers products free of artificial colors, scents, and preservatives. Fans particularly love the powder scent deodorant. If you prefer a roll-on, try their Mineral Confidence variety.
Available at: From $4 at retailers nationwide. Visit Toms of Maine for more information.
This one scored high with my postpartum mom friends, even those who feel especially gross right now. Utilizing baking soda to neutralize odor and increase pH balance in your pits, this organic deodorant helps your body naturally fight bacteria, leading to less funk.
Available at: Briut Essentials, $15

You don't have to ask this beauty buff twice if anything from this cult NYC brand is worth the heftier price tag. A thousand time yes would be my reply, and that includes their natural Eucalyptus deodorant free of aluminum and other harsh ingredients found in traditional deodorants. It's also available in a travel size, perfect for stowing in your purse for high-stress days.
Available at: Malin + Goetz, $22

Available in jar or stick form, natural product junkies stand by Primal Pit Paste for effective, long-lasting odor and wetness control without the parabens, aluminum, and so on. Their popular lavender deodorant contains only seven ingredients: Shea butter, baking soda, coconut oil, beeswax, arrowroot powder, lavender essential oil, and vitamin E derived from sunflowers.
Available at Primal Pit Paste, $8.56
Want to go "totally" natural? Make your own deodorant! In the era of coconut-oil-cures-all, I was intrigued yet skeptical when a crunchy friend suggested I slather the stuff on my pits. As per her advice, I did so for three days before noticing a real difference, but it definitely lessened the odor within a few uses. Don't do it if you need to be super-dry though; this DIY solution is more about odor than wetness.
