Beyonce’s Twins Are Here: Everything We Know So Far

If you’ve been obsessing over Beyoncé’s pregnancy since she announced that she was expecting twins back in February, your wait is over.

Citing multiple sources, US Weekly reports that Beyonce gave birth to a boy and a girl on Monday, June 12. (Beyonce and Jay Z have not commented on the twins’ birth, so far.) The babies join big sister, Blue Ivy, 5.

According to BET, they remain in a Los Angeles hospital because of a “minor issue” that surfaced with the twins. The network reported that Beyonce had prepared to give birth at home, even having a custom-built neo-natal unit brought in, but an ambulance would be on stand-by to take the babies and Mom to the hospital, if necessary.

Over the weekend, Beyoncé’s father, Mathew Knowles, took to Twitter saying, “They’re here! #beyonce #twins # #jayz #happybirthday” — complete with a photo that said, “Happy Birthday to the twins! Love, Granddad.

While the proud grandfather did not reveal any other details about the new babies, some commenters thought his announcement was inappropriate and should have come from Beyonce and Jay Z instead. How can you be angry at a proud grandfather, though?

Of course fans are going wild on social media, begging Bey and Jay to reveal more information about the babies.

One fan commented “#Beyonce, sweetie. I know you’re in recovery, but where are the pics? We’ve been pregnant with you for too long, honey.” While another fan declared it was time to move to New York City, where Beyonce and Jay-Z have a home, as the Carters would clearly need a nanny.

The singer’s pregnancy announcement on Instagram, in which she wore a veil and was surrounded by flowers, was epic. She captioned the snap with, “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. The carters.”

And fans have been waiting for the birth announcement ever since.

The pop star, who is married to Jay Z, 47, ( whose legal name is Shawn Carter) in 2008 has been public about her pregnancy, starting with her over-the-top announcement, and including sharing photos of her baby shower on Instagram in May.

Beyoncé has been absent from social media for a few weeks, but is sure to share more details about her two new bundles of joy soon. We can’t wait!
