Last year, Cardi filed for divorce from the artist for the second time after seven years of marriage. The mother of three is now getting real about parenting her kids as the “only provider,” but she’s not “complaining.”

Cardi B loves being a mother to her three kids, and her recent heartfelt comments are proof of the same. During an interview with Billboard, the 32-year-old spoke about how motherhood shaped her.
She gushed that it “turned” her into a “real woman.” The rapper continued, “I was like, ‘What makes a woman? Her body? Her cooking?'” She then stated that it is “her maturity and her thinking.”
The artist opened up and said that she “wouldn’t sacrifice so much” if she didn’t have children. Cardi then revealed that she didn’t even get a chance to enjoy some time by the pool this summer.
She explained, “I’m the only provider,” adding, “You know what? Ain’t no complaining about it.” Cardi continued to express her love for the little ones — Kulture, Wave, and Blossom. The “I Like It” hitmaker also shared that her kids “ground” her.
The rapper also shared that sometimes she ends up feeling “exhausted.” She explained, “It’s not even about work, it’s just life.” She continued to talk about how one never stops working, even if they get rich enough.
Cardi then recalled her mother working “hard” to make a living for her children. She shared, “I had a very rough childhood,” but added, “My mom always made sure we ain’t go to no shelter.” Cardi B then expressed that she wants to leave a similar impression on her kids. She said that she wants her children to be like, “My mom made sure I had everything that I wanted.”
