DIY: Mini Scrunchie

DIY: Mini Scrunchie

My daughter, "Peaches", is finally letting me put her hair up in clips and ties. I made a simple mini scrunchie that you can make for your mini me.

Materials:

  • Elastic
  • Fabric
  • Scissors
  • Needle and thread

Gather your materials. Cut a piece of fabric about one inch wide by 8 inches long. Fold the fabric in half lengthwise. Sew along the long edge making sure to not sew the ends closed.

Turn the fabric right side out. Insert a long piece of elastic. Scrunch the fabric up. Tie the two ends of the elastic in a knot. Cut the excess elastic. Tuck the knot into the fabric. Fold the ends of the fabric in and hand sew the ends together.

The hard part is picking which of your favorite fabrics to make a scrunchie with!
