Will we see Read’s zero-emissions trailer shuttling Green Cola on these shores someday? That mainly depends on Green Cola, a Greece-based business founded in 2012 when the land of Homer, Mount Olympus and democracy was mired in debt and despair. Pitched as a healthy alternative to sweet carbonated colas, Green Cola is sugar-free, calorie-free and preservative-free. It contains no corrosive phosphoric acid and is sweetened with naturally derived Stevia sourced from farmers in Greece. While Green Cola is caffeinated, it’s caffeine is extracted from green coffee beans… hey, those delivery drivers need energy to push those pedals!

Green Cola is bottled in Germany and the venture has proven to be a bright point in relations between the two nations. After making its debut in Greek 24-hour convenience stores, Green Cola made the leap to store shelves in Germany’s large chain supermarkets where it has appeared to have won over German consumers. As attitudes tilt in favor of healthy refreshment and clean, green distribution channels like Yannick Read’s Green Cola trailer, we may yet see more products like Green Cola in the years to come. Indeed, there’s more than one way to – ahem – pedal a product. (via WENN, Jonathan Hordle/Cover Images).
