A wolf in Jeep’s clothing? More like a new bunker on the blockhouse. This minty green bunker still appears warlike, though the original constructors would no doubt be surprised to see how their work has morphed over the decades.
To paraphrase Dr. Frank N. Furter of The Rocky Horror Show, these anonymous graffiti artists have removed the cause… but not the symptom. Only time will tell but for now, we can thank Flickr member thierry llansades for bringing us these exquisite and unlikely painted gems. The photographer visited Tarnos in March of 2011 and we’re privileged to display some of his images of the decorated wartime infrastructure under a Creative Commons license.
