Iced Chai For Mom

In the summer I love to drink it over ice. A simple preparation that I make easier on myself by brewing the chai in the morning and chilling it in the fridge all afternoon. Then, just when I need a pick-me-up it is all set for the afternoon. I love to pour the chai over ice and drink it straight up. Sometimes I add milk and a little vanilla syrup as well! —

Ingredients:

  • 5 chai tea bags
  • boiling water
  • milk (optional)
  • vanilla simple syrup

Preparation: 

makes 1 gallon

1. Bring the water to a boil and fill a heatproof gallon pitcher. Then steep the tea bags for at least 30 minutes before removing. Stir in the simple syrup. Place the pitcher in the fridge until cool.

2. To serve, pour over ice and add milk as desired!
