Mom shares her life-changing experience of adopting a baby with Down syndrome
A sweet video on Instagram starts with a mom of four, Kirstin Czernek. Czernek shared her experience of adopting a baby with Down syndrome. The clip showed the mom and baby Luca having a precious moment together. As they smiled, the baby gave mom an affectionate kiss. In the meantime, the text written over the clip read: “Two years ago today, I received a DM that would change our lives forever.”
In the Instagram post’s caption, the mom, Kirstin Czernek, penned Luca’s beautiful adoption story. She began by writing: “It was 5:30pm on a Tuesday and Tomas called me, “hey, have you checked your DM’s?”. Upon seeing: “There’s a baby boy with Down syndrome, I think it’s legit, I think he could be ours…”, hope and emotions were stirred.
After that, the mom revealed: “We had been a waiting family with the Down syndrome Adoption Network for two years.” She continued: “We were trusting God’s timing but were also dreaming about the day we would be bringing our baby home.”
Then, the mom explained how she replied to the DM, which led to this life-changing experience. “We got in touch with Luca’s mom’s attorney, she was wonderful and took us through all the steps.” Revealing more, she wrote: “A baby boy that would be born the beginning of October in Alabama.”
The mom added: “Life changed forever with a DM, which makes me just love you all so much more.”, concluding her post. One reader wrote: “Most awesome story ever!!! So thankful!
