Nicole Kidman Opens Up About Her Fertility Struggle

Nicole Kidman shares her "roller coaster ride with fertility" in an interview on Australia's '60 Minutes'.

Nicole talked about the struggle she's had with fertility that started back when she was married to Tom Cruise.  The couple adopted two children together (Isabella, 18, and Connor, 15) after many attempts to conceive and she also suffered a miscarriage right before they divorced.  She shared: "Anyone that's been in the place of wanting another child or wanting a child knows the disappointment, the pain and the loss that you go through trying and struggling with fertility. Fertility is such a big thing, and it's not something I've ever run away from talking about."

Nicole and husband Keith Urban were overjoyed when she got pregnant and gave birth to their first child together, Sunday Rose, 2.  They then welcomed another daughter, Faith Margaret, in December via surrogate.  She explains the decision to take that route: "We were in a place of desperately wanting another child. This opportunity arose for us, and I couldn't get pregnant."

The mom of four gushed: "Children are children – you'll die for your children. And when you feel that as parent – that's the unconditional love."
