Chocolate-Dipped Candy Canes Recipe
Because every mom needs a go-to quick and easy holiday treat for last-minute parties and gifts.
- white chocolate chips: 1 cup
- semisweet chocolate chips: 1 cup
- 5-inch candy canes: 2 dozen
- variety of sprinkles: about 1 tablespoon
Step 1: Line the bottom of a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2: In a microwave, melt the white chocolate and dark chocolate in two separate, deep, small containers. (A Pyrex measuring beaker is perfect.) Melt it in 30-second increments; it shouldn't take longer than a minute or so.
Step 3: Once the chocolate is melted, dip the round end of the candy cane into it, moving it around to coat at least a couple inches of the stick.Step 4: Gently lift the candy cane out of the chocolate and let any excess drip off. Place the dipped candy canes on the parchment-lined baking sheet as you go. Step 5: While they're still wet, sprinkle them lightly with sprinkles. Step 6: Let them set at room temperature. (If you need to speed it up you can place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.)
