For a dad on Father's Day, it doesn't get much better than being cooked for. Especially when the kids are doing the cooking of special Father's Day recipes.

My kids think dessert is the most important part of a meal (go figure). So on Father's Day, they love making their dad a custom mud pie—the crust is made from his favorite cookies, and filling is made with his favorite ice cream flavors. Oh, and the most important ingredient? Love, of course.

What are my kids' dad's favorites? Chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate, salted caramel, and vanilla ice cream.
