2. Alpha and Omega (PG)

Animated film featuring the voices of Justin Long and Hayden Panettiere.

“When Kate, a take-charge “Alpha” wolf, and Humphrey, a laid-back “Omega” wolf, get snatched by park rangers and relocated halfway across the country, the two must set off on an incredible journey home!”

3. Piranha (R)

Starring Jerry O’Connell, Eli Roth, Elisabeth Shue, Ving Rhames, and Richard Dreyfuss.

“After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area’s new razor-toothed residents.”

My “don’t waste your money” advice for the weekend: ‘Season of the Witch’.  We saw it last weekend – terrible special effects, cheesy dialogue. The best thing about it was Nicolas Cage’s wig.
