What Do Celebrity Moms Do For “Me Time”?

We all know that one of the first things that goes as a mom is "me time." By the time you're done getting up every few hours to feed the baby, change diapers, do the LOADS of laundry that babies manage to generate, and grab a nap here and there, the 24 hours in the day are GONE.

Now, granted, celebrity moms have a lot more help than most moms. Between baby nurses and nannies, they're able to slip off with the trainer (how else do you think they slim down so fast?), relax at the spa, do a bit of shopping, maybe even grab lunch with their friends. It's important to your sanity (and being the best mom you can be) to do these things.

Instead of a nanny, maybe you can ask your mother to give you a break or hire a sitter for a couple of hours so you can get some "me time." If so, take a tip from these celebs to see what they do to relax.

Gwen Stefani (above) was spotted leaving the nail salon soon after giving birth to Zuma. Check out those gorgeous nails! At a time when Gwen was probably still dealing with the dreaded "pouch," I'm sure it felt good to at least have pretty fingernails. (Sometimes, you take what you can get.)

New mom Rebecca Gayheart has been spotted leaving Billie at home (I'm sure with a trusted nanny) and going out for lunch. Good for her! Billie will be fine with a nanny for a few hours, and Rebecca is probably able to enjoy her time with her new baby even more after spending an hour or two gabbing and relaxing with a girlfriend. Surely there's a nearby restaurant you and a friend love? I  bet your friend misses you since you've been sucked into "mommyhood," so you'd both have a great time!

And if you just can't find someone to watch the kids? Follow Reese Witherspoon's lead and take them out with you! Here's Reese enjoying a hike with her kids, Ava and Deacon. You may not get the adult conversation you'd like (unless you bring a friend along), but at least you're getting out of the house! As I said before, sometimes you take what you can get.

Regardless, the important thing is to remember: "me time" isn't a luxury. It's a NECESSITY.
