It took roughly 50 different artists, working alone or in cooperative groups, approximately five years to create these recycled replicas. Sturdy enough to support human drivers (though alas, they’re not driveble), the reborn vehicles are built exactly to scale with functional doors and lovingly replicated interiors.
Some of the models featured in the “Gallery of Steel Figures” exhibition include a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, a Bugatti Veyron, a Maserati Gran Turismo, and a Lamborghini Aventador. As realistic as they look, it’s doubtful any of the metal used in their fabrication came from similar cars awaiting the crusher at the Pruszków scrapyard. (via WENN.com)
