Sleeping on an airplane isn’t typically an attractive prospect, conjuring visions of crammed limbs and the potential for a stranger to end up drooling on your shoulder. But one bright blue jet in Amsterdam offers far more comfortable accommodations – in the form of a two-bedroom apartment that you can rent on AirBNB.

KLM renovated a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 aircraft into a luxury apartment measuring 3,940 square feet, a far cry from the tiny, barely-reclining seats that overnight fliers make do with in Economy class.

Styled with vintage furniture and accessories, the apartment features an open plan lounging room, a study area, master bedroom with a king-sized bed, a second bedroom with two single beds and two kitchens. There are also eight bathrooms (for reasons that aren’t exactly clear.)

Enjoy the views of airplanes taking off and landing at the Schiphol airport from the 116 jet windows as you sip your coffee and browse the selection of books and magazines. But if you’re entertaining ideas of activating the inflatable emergency slide, we have to warn you that it’s explicitly forbidden.

The apartment is only temporarily available to the public as part of an AirBNB contest, but if you don’t get lucky with this one, there’s always the Jumbo Hostel, another reclaimed aircraft project featuring 25 rooms for about $45 per night.
