As I sit in on rehearsal for the upcoming musical, I am struck by the dedication before me on the large unadorned stage. 

Music is a powerful presence in many people's lives. It can remind you of certain moments, or inspire you to achieve your goals; one song can mean different things to different people.

When I look back on my experience in music what stands out to me are the moments that involved the most work. 

Influential people come in all shapes and sizes. You might be influenced by someone close to you, or someone you have never met; it could be a speech they give, and action you witness or the way they conduct their life.
