Noel Butterfly Dollar Store Gift Wrap Idea
This gift wrap idea uses a word ornament and a butterfly ornament. If you can’t find a butterfly ornament, a bird ornament would also work well.
Step 1: Pick out a word ornament like Peace, Noel, or Merry Christmas.
Step 2: Pick out a butterfly ornament or floral pick, and some matching curling ribbon.
Step 3: Wrap your medium size gift in your favorite wrapping paper to coordinate with the ornaments you’ve selected.
Step 4: Use a hot glue gun and a glue stick to glue the word ornament slightly below the center of the package. Use the hot glue sparingly, only use a couple small dots of glue.
Step 5: Cut off 5-6 pieces of curling ribbon about 12 inches long. Tape the ends of the curling ribbon toward the top right of the package.
Step 6: Carefully use the blade from a pair of scissors to run down the back of each piece of curling ribbon to make it curl.
Step 7: Use a couple drops of hot glue to glue the butterfly over the ends of the curling ribbon.
Butterfly Pick Dollar Store Gift Wrap Idea
This gift wrap idea is similar to the gift wrap above, but it uses a floral pick instead of ornaments. If you can’t find a butterfly floral pick, other floral picks will look great.
Step 1: Wrap your package with a coordinating color wrapping paper.
Step 2: Cut off 3 pieces of gold (or coordinating color) curling ribbon about 24 inches long.
Step 3: Tape the centers of the curling ribbon to the package, just above the center.
Step 4: Carefully use the blade from a pair of scissors to run down the back of each piece of curling ribbon, in each direction, to make it curl.
Step 5: Use a pair of wire cutters to cut off the stem from the floral pick right behind the decorative end.
Step 6: Use a few drops of hot glue on the back of the pick to stick it to the package in the taped center of the curling ribbon.
Snowman Novelty Bag Dollar Store Gift Wrap Idea
You don’t have to stick to the holiday aisle. You can use other items from the dollar store to add to your decorative gift wrap ideas, like hats, mittens, or this snowman novelty bag.
Step 1: Wrap your package with a metallic silver wrapping paper, or another coordinating color.
Step 2: Wrap decorative ribbon, like this blue and white snowflake and Christmas light ribbon around 2 corners of the package, and fasten it in place in the center back of the package.
Step 3: You may also want to use a small amount of hot glue to hold the garland ribbon in place on the corners of the package.
Step 4: Place the snowman novelty bag in the center of the present. Use a couple pieces of double sided tape, or a couple small dots of hot glue to hold the bag in place.
Snowman Ornament Dollar Store Gift Wrap Idea
This gift wrap idea is very similar to the gift wrap idea above, but it uses a snowman ornament instead of a novelty gift bag. It’s perfect for smaller gifts.
Step 1: Wrap your package with a coordinating wrapping paper.
Step 2: Wrap red and green (or a coordinating color) decorative garland ribbon around the package vertically, give it a twist to hold it in place then wrap it around horizontally and give it a twist in the back to hold it in place.
Step 3: Use a drop or two of hot glue to glue the snowman ornament to the center front of the package.
