Kim Kardashian sits down with Cosmopolitan magazine to chat about pregnancy, Kanye West, and her ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
The expectant reality star says that she is no longer judgmental about the different types of relationships her sisters have. She shared about giving Kourtney a hard time for not being married when she got pregnant with Mason in 2009, “I was like, ‘You’re not married! How could you do this?’ I was really firm and strict. But she was like, ‘Marriage isn’t what I want.’ And later, I realized she had a better family life than I did.”
Kim shared that she has always wanted to be a mom, but wasn’t ready before, “I’ve always said that I wanted kids, but I don’t think I ever would have been ready until now.”
She gives a little insight on her relationship with Kanye West, “Sometimes you’re just not ready. A person could have it all, and you’re not ready for it all. But this is where I probably always should have been…[marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don’t have this sense of urgency about it. I have this best friend who understands me and helps me through all my tough experiences, and vice versa, you know? It just feels like this is it for me.” She continues, “I used to think, Well, can you really have it all? The truth, the excitement, and the passion? Now I know you can.”
Kim was involved in accident with her interviewer a few years previous to this Cosmo story and was calm and nice as could be, which shocked the interviewer. Kim shared, “In situations like that, emergencies, I’m super calm. Especially with material things, I feel like it’s not the end of the world as long as everyone’s safe. I’m like that in any stressful situation. Even when my father passed away, I sat down and I said to everyone, ‘Okay, guys, what are we supposed to learn from this? We all need to grow up.'”
